How to Apply

 

Peach State is excited to announce the availability of more than $158,000 in scholarships! Click on the title of the scholarship to download an application, and view the criteria and eligibility requirements. Please do not submit multiple applications for our Student or Career Advancement Scholarships. Applications to more than one of our scholarships will not increase your eligibility or chances of being selected. Completed applications can be sent to: Scholarship Committee, Peach State Federal Credit Union, 1505 Lakes Parkway, Suite 100, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043.  Applications and supporting documents must be received by the credit union by Friday, March 16, 2018. Winners will be selected by the end of April 2018 and notified shortly thereafter.

Legacy Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors the legacy of past and present board members and employees who have served Peach State FCU for 20 years or more. It will be awarded to nine graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue a degree in education. PLEASE NOTE: Applicant must attend a public school that is in Peach State’s service area (Barrow, Clarke, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Jackson, Oconee, Richmond and Walton counties in Georgia or Aiken county South Carolina) or a private school that is one of our Select Employee Groups. Andy Byers Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Andy Byers, retired Superintendent of Jackson County Schools, for his contributions to the Jackson County school system. It will be awarded to a Jackson County Public School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education.

Brian J. Mulherin, Sr. Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Brian J. Mulherin, Sr. (former Director Emeritus for Richmond Community FCU prior to their merger with Peach State FCU) for his commitment and dedication to the credit union and the citizens of the Richmond County community. It will be awarded to a Richmond County High School graduate on the basis of financial need, academic credentials, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Dan Cromer Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Dan Cromer, retired Superintendent of Barrow County Schools, for his contributions to the Barrow County school system. It will be awarded to a Barrow County Public School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education.

Dr. Frances Davis Student Scholarship Application NEW!
This scholarship is in honor of Dr. Frances Davis, Associate Superintendent of District Performance and Community Engagement at Gwinnett County Public Schools, for more than two decades of service on Peach State FCU’s Board of Directors.  It will be awarded to a Gwinnett County Public School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education.

Gary Hobbs Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Gary Hobbs, retired Superintendent of Walton County Schools, for his contributions to the Walton County school system. It will be awarded to a Walton County Public School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education.

Gracewood Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors the volunteer Board of Directors from Richmond Community FCU for their years of service and dedication to the credit union (prior to their merger with Peach State FCU). It will be awarded to a Richmond County High School graduating senior on the basis of financial need, academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Dr. John Jackson Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Dr. John Jackson, retired Superintendent of Oconee County Schools, for his contributions to the Oconee County school system. It will be awarded to an Oconee County Public School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education.

Marion Barnes Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Marion Barnes, (former Board Member for Richmond County Teachers FCU prior to their merger with Peach State FCU), for his commitment and dedication to the credit union and the citizens of the Richmond County community. It will be awarded to a Richmond County High School graduate on the basis of financial need, academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Peach State FCU Student Scholarship NEW!
This scholarship is to honor the legacy of past and present board members and employees who have served Peach State Federal Credit Union for 20 years or more. It will be awarded to a graduating high school senior from Aiken County Schools on the basis of financial need, academic credentials, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Pomeroy Woods Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Janet Pomeroy and Pearlie Woods for their commitment and dedication to the credit union and the citizens of the Athens/Clarke County community. It will be awarded to two Clarke County High School graduating seniors on the basis of financial need, academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Richmond County Teachers Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors the volunteer Board of Directors from Richmond County Teachers FCU for their years of service and dedication to the credit union (prior to their merger with Peach State FCU). It will be awarded to a Richmond County High School graduating senior on the basis of financial need, academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Rick Cost Student Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Rick Cost, retired Chief Financial Officer at Gwinnett County Public Schools, for his contributions to the Gwinnett County school system. It will be awarded to a Gwinnett County Public School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education.

Career Advancement Scholarship Application
These scholarships honor the founders of Peach State Federal Credit Union. Realizing the importance of education as a lifelong experience, 23 of these scholarships will be awarded to credit union members in good standing who are currently employed and are currently enrolled in classes to further their education for career advancement.

Wilma Widmer Career Advancement Scholarship Application
This scholarship honors Wilma Widmer for her years of service on Peach State FCU’s Supervisory Committee. Realizing the importance of education as a lifelong experience, this scholarship is for credit union members in good standing who are currently employed in Walton County and are currently enrolled in classes to further their education for career advancement.
